Notes about our week…
We are so happy to have the children back for a full week of learning!
•Last week, we created a tent with blankets and crazy forts.
•We learned some more Inuit games of survival.
•We made snow forts and snow people.
•We finished creating our ocean.
*Please note that our classroom can be extremely cold due to an ongoing heating issue. Please consider dressing your child in multiple layers to allow them to feel comfortable while playing indoors.

How you can support your child’s learning
•Read books to your child. Talk about the extra details in the pictures or what you think might happen after the story ends.
•Play alphabet and word games to reinforce the skills that the children are learning at school. Did you know it takes approximately 200-400 times of seeing a word before it become automatic? That’s why our Stinger Readers have repetitive sentences.
Important Information
•We have a child in our class with a severe nut allergy. (There are also several teachers and students in our school who have nut allergies). Please ensure that you are sending nut free foods to school. If your child consumes nuts, peanuts or peanut butter before coming to school, please ensure that they have brushed their teeth and washed their hands and face before coming to school. “Wow Butter” and peanut butter alternatives will be not be permitted in the classroom. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping school a safe place for all children.
