Notes about our Week

•We talked about things that we would like to learn or get better at and set goals for yourself.

•We learned about Rube Goldberg machines.  These machines do a simple task through a complex set of chains reactions.  We have been attempting to make our own versions at our construction centre.

•We have be learning different ways to make prints.  We made mono prints and then made our own stamps to make prints with.

•We have been practicing subitizing (recognizing quantities quickly) through many types of games.

•We have been making and adding things to play house at our house centre such a washing machine, dryer and cell phones.

Important Information

•We have a child in our class with a severe nut allergy.  (There are also several teachers and students in our school who have nut allergies).  Please ensure that you are sending nut free foods to school.  If your child consumes nuts, peanuts or peanut butter before coming to school, please ensure that they have brushed their teeth and washed their hands and face before coming to school.  “Wow Butter” and peanut butter alternatives will be not be permitted in the classroom.  Thank you for your cooperation in keeping school a safe place for all children.
