It was so nice to chat with many of our students and families this past week. I was glad to hear that everyone seems to be holding up despite these challenging times. I hope that you have had a chance to check out WRDSB@Home. It is being updated daily with great learning activities. I love the WRDSB@Home focus on physical activity and mental well being. Don’t forget that you can supplement with some of the suggestions from the Ontario Learn At Home site.

I was also happy to hear about all the creative ways that you are staying active, connecting and learning together as families. Many of you are getting out for walks, cooking together, playing board games, and using different platforms to chat with family members outside of your home.

The WRDSB virtual library remains open for students! Some of the suggested activities on WRDSB@Home require logging in to read books. You can find your child’s user name and password in their planner. Their user name is the first 4 letters of their last name, followed by their first initial and then the last 4 numbers of their student number. The password is the 9-digit student number underneath their user names. Please email me if you have a hard time finding their user name and password.

I also wanted to share that Dreambox is providing parents with free trial licences for 90 days! Some of you may already be familiar with this math resource. Raz-Kids A-Z is a leveled reading site. They are also offering free trials! Check it out!

Stay safe and stay healthy!
