It’s hard to believe it’s May already!  EQAO will take place the last 2 weeks in May.  Please make sure your child is at school each day.

Last week we looked at compound words and reviewed what adjectives are.

This week, our words of the week will be:  attached, ocean, swimming, village

Our new reading focus will be on finding important ideas/main ideas in a text.  We will also review the strategy of visualizing.

In writing, we will be writing riddles about urban and rural communities.

In media, we will identify the purpose and intended audience of some media texts (e.g., this magazine is aimed at children/teens/adults; these boxes for DVDs/videos are aimed at the parents of very young children).

In math, we will finish up our measurement unit learning about Area.
