Students were excited to see the many creatures at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory last week. We visited the Learning Discovery room where we learned about insects and pretended to be caterpillars changing into butterflies. We touchedΒ mealworms and played lots of fun insect games.

Next we visited the Butterfly Conservatory. Students were thrilled to see the many different colours and sizes of butterflies, as well as fish, turtles, birds and plants. Finally we visited the insect galleries where brave souls touched live hissing cockroaches, a millipede and a walking stick!

Thank you to all of our parents who helped to supervise the students…despite some of their own fears of creepy crawlies!
