My name is Karen DelVecchio and I am excited to be joining the team at Bridgeport Public School in Room 22 as the afternoon Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE). I have been an Early Childhood Educator to more than a decade and am happy to be bringing my skills to the kindergarten classroom. I have many hobbies including painting, knitting, sewing, and guitar. I enjoy being outside all year round and often take long walks with my dog in the woods. I get excited about birds and trees. I continue to learn, marvel and wonder about the natural world and enjoy sharing this delight with kids. I deeply enjoy spending time with kids. I love supporting their learning, inquisitiveness and creativity. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your families.
Hello! My name is Aditi Hemmadi and I’m the morning Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) in Room 22 at Bridgeport Public School for the 2022-2023 school year. I am thrilled to be part of the FDK Team! I am passionate about helping children learn, develop and grow to their full potential. I enjoy teaching children about the world around them, different cultures and human values, and contributing to their foundational development.
My hobbies and interests include travelling, camping, reading, music, and meeting people from around the world.
I am eagerly looking forward to the 2022–2023 school year, and to meeting and interacting with children and families.
My name is Kim Johnstone and I love teaching kindergarten! I am excited to be teaching Full Day Kindergarten at Bridgeport Public School again this 2022-2023 year.
I am married and have three sons, ages 22, 24 and 27 and three awesome daughter-in-laws. We also have a puggle (beagle/pug cross). In my spare time I love to do crafts, and spending as much time outdoors as possible going hiking, canoeing, camping, cottaging and snowmobiling.
I am most excited about working with children and families to develop a love of learning and a strong sense of community.
Mrs. Yanke and Mme. Gauthier are teachers who will be spending some time with Room 22 students during outdoor learning and gym.
