NLW 25th Anniversary Playday

On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, NLW will have a whole school playday to help us celebrate our school’s 25th anniversary!  Students and staff are encouraged to wear NLW spirit wear along with the school colours, blue, green and gold.  The event will run outside, from 11:40 until 1:10.  Please dress in active wear, according to the weather. Students should have sunscreen, hats and water bottles if it is hot and sunny.  We will probably go ahead if the weather is overcast and only slightly damp.  We will likely reschedule if it is raining.  Our school council will be providing ice cream cups for the children to enjoy during the second nutrition break.

After school, we will continue the celebration from 5:30 until 7:30.

-Food Trucks will be parked in the bus lanes at the front of the school.

-Signs and “shadow’s footprints” will direct people to the J/I tarmac area to congregate.

-Photo slideshow will be looping in the gym from 5:30-7:30

-Class art boards will be set up around the gym and in the hallways

-Photos with Shadow at the front of the school 5:30-7:00 (Kids can get photos with Shadow while they are waiting in food truck lines)

6:00 Opening welcome in gym:  Jeff Reaburn welcomes everyone and introduces our guests of honour.

• Mr. Reaburn reminds visitors to sign the guest book, take a raffle ticket and put it in the bin of the prize you hope to win.  Winning ticket numbers will be called at 7:00-you must be here to win!
• School Song is played-everyone sings along (lyrics projected on the wall)
