Thanks for your patience, understanding and support.  Here is a rough plan for the next few weeks.

Monday, April 6, 2020: I would like all families to help their children log into their Google accounts and find our Google classroom.  Please email me if you have any problems.  My email address is:          chris_schroeder@wrdsb.ca.

Tuesday, April 7, 2020 – Thursday, April 9, 2020: Students will practise navigating around their accounts and engage in some simple, fun activities that I will post in the virtual classroom.  The WRDSB has informed us that there will be no live streaming sessions with students to avoid any privacy and safety concerns.  Please send me a message if there are any problems…this is new for me as well.

Friday, April 10, 2020 – Monday, April 13, 2020: Easter weekend

Tuesday, April 14, 2020: We will officially start formal lessons on Google classroom.  It is the expectation of the WRDSB that we engage in 5 hours of instruction per week (one hour per day).  These lessons should focus on Math and Language.  Without feedback, it is difficult for me to gauge this timing.  If you feel your child has done enough work for the day, please intervene and let your child know that he/she can stop.  If you feel your child wants to do more, please encourage her/him to continue.  Many of you have already established excellent, highly structured daily routines.  Please continue to follow this schedule, including our work where appropriate.
