We enjoyed playing this adding game today.  The game starts with all the numbers open.  The goal of the game is to cover as many numbers as possible to have the lowest possible score.  If you roll an 8, for example, you could choose to close one of the following options…

• 8
• 7 & 1
• 6 & 2
• 4
• 5 & 3

The numbers you close would remain closed for the rest of your turn.  Then, another number would be rolled, until no more numbers could be closed.  At that time, the total of the remaining numbers would be calculated.  The goal is to have the lowest score possible, so it is always best to try to shut the higher numbers.
