Disney Santa Claus has a weird plot. The plot is that Scott Calvin’s son Charlie is Delusional for believing in Santa Claus. Why would an 8 year old be delusional for believing in Santa Claus ? The answer is no he is not. Scott Calvin is the only adult in this movie not trying to stop him from believing in Santa Claus.

Plot

On Christmas Scott burns the turkey and then they go to Dennys for dinner and the waiter is named Judy (Put a pin in this in your brain it has relevance later). On Christmas in the middle of the night, Charlie heard a clatter. So we woke up his dad to check what that was ; His dad went outside. He talked to Santa who was on his roof and scared him. Santa was dead because he fell off the roof. He found a card in Santa’s suit telling him to put on his suit.

Scott and Charlie went inside the sleigh; Scott put on a Santa suit. The reindeer started to fly and they started delivering presents to houses. Then after they were done delivering presents they went back to the North Pole there was an elf named Judy who gave Scott a cocachino. Bernard gave Charlie a snow globe.

The next day Charlie woke up his dad early. His Parents told Scott to stop telling him to believe in Santa Because he told them that they went to the North Pole last night.

Charlie calls his room the North Pole. Scott tells Charlie to keep his secret of believing in  Santa Claus just to them. On parent day at Charlie School, Charlie tells the class that his dad is Santa Claus. After his presentation Scott, Neil and Laura go in the Principal’s office to talk about why Charlie’s delusional for believing his dad is Santa Claus. Then in the next couple of scenes he starts morphing into Santa Claus because he put on the suit. Ned and Laura think he’s delusional to play this role Santa Claus, Kids at the park line-up to tell them what they want for Christmas. Then they take custody of Charlie away because  they think he’s delusional for dressing like Santa Claus.

Neil said he stopped believing in Santa Claus at 3 after he didn’t get his weenie whistle, Laura said she stopped believing after she didn’t get her dream date game at 5. They tell Charlie he’s delusional for believing in Santa Claus at 9 even though that’s a reasonable age to still believe in Santa Claus.

Review

Here’s why I think they had to make him seem delusional for believing in Santa Claus, they needed to make him seem delusional because they wanted to say the reason why they don’t want him to believe is because they had a crappy childhood when they didn’t get the stuff they wanted . They don’t want to do the same to him. He would actually become Santa Claus later in the movie and they realize their mistake.
