Hello Everyone,

My name is Ryan Alischer and I have been teaching for 11 years. Over the last eight years at William G Davis, I have had the pleasure of teaching Core (Language, History, Geography, Drama).

After starting my educational career at W.T Townsend and spending 2 years at Laurentian Senior Public School, I have found my home here at Davis. Our Razorback community is unique, supportive and above all, extremely rewarding. Our staff is diverse, talented, supportive and dedicated to providing the students of Davis an excellent educational experience with lots of opportunity to grow and flourish both inside and outside of the classroom.

I am so lucky to have a strong support system at home led by my wife Stephanie who is also a teacher (Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School) and my four wonderful children. Mikale, our oldest son is starting grade three and Amaya will be starting grade one. Our youngest son, Rowen will be keeping Stephanie busy at home while she is off on maternity leave with our newest edition Brynnlee who turned one in July.

When I am not racing between hockey arenas, gymnasiums, music lessons and daycares, I can be found at a local golf course or working on projects outside and around the house. I love the outdoors and find myself constantly planning our family’s next vacation as we all love to travel.

I grew up playing hockey and was fortunate to play four years of junior hockey for the Kitchener Dutchmen. I love coaching and following my time playing I coached Jr. B for seven years before beginning my coaching and teaching career with the WRDSB.

Other interests I have are: cooking, technology, sports, hiking, swimming
