Our Painted Butterfly chrysalis’ arrived yesterday. Each student will be asked to look after one specific caterpillar by making sure that the “frass” (butterfly poop) is cleaned up using a Q-tip. Since our caterpillars are about a centimeter long and about a millimeter thick, it may be a few days before we need to clean up the frass.
