Dear Students,
Please practise singing these songs for the next 3 weeks to help us prepare for our Winter Concert! If you are not in the Primary Choir, you do not need to learn the song, “Here Comes the Snow”, but you are welcome to listen to it:)
Remember, in the song, “Perfect Winter Day”, we will be singing Part 1.

Homework…
We feel that family time is precious and that our students will be working hard while at school. In our class, formal homework will be kept to a minimum. Students will be encouraged to actively participate in the Home Reading Program, do regular library book exchanges and to complete a response to the “Poem of the Week”. From time to time, there may be unfinished class work that comes home for students to complete and return promptly.
Each Monday, we will post the “Poem of the Week” along with a question that relates to what we are learning in class. Please read the poem, listen to your child read the poem and/or read it together. Discuss the question with your child just in a conversation or have him/her answer the question in written and/or picture format in his or her “Poem of the Week Response Journal”. This journal will be collected the following Monday, if your child brings it in, and will be returned by Wednesday of the same week.
We would encourage you to take as many opportunities as you can to investigate ‘real life’ Math while shopping, cooking, going to after school activities, etc.
Have fun learning and exploring together! 😀
When does the home reading program start?
