Come out to support newcomer youth at a FREE show entitled “Why Did You Kill My Brother? Stories of the Past and Present”, by the YMCA Newcomer Theatre Performance Troupe, in collaboration with the MT Space Theatre Company. This moving show illustrates the journeys of newcomer youth from their homes to begin their new lives in Canada. The show will start at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th, 2017 at the Kitchener Public Library theatre, located in downtown Kitchener at 85 Queen Street North. Please arrive ten minutes early to find seating.

Drama can be a powerful vehicle through which youth can process and explore difficult topics, experiences, and feelings. We are so very lucky to have highly skilled and empathetic staff working with our newcomer families through KW Immigrant Services, particularly within the school settlement support branch (SWIS) as they work with children, youth and their families from the WCDSB and WRDSB to ensure a successful transition to a new country and culture.
