I am so happy to be here at Woodland Park! I have been with the WRDSB for almost twenty years, and I’ve taught music for many of those years, along with junior and intermediate homerooms. Music is my passion! I play the saxophone with several local groups, including the Wellington Wind Symphony, and the Cambridge Concert Band, for which I am also the Composer-in-Residence. I love writing music for a variety of groups and soloists, and I bring my love of composition into the classroom, as there is no better way to learn music than by creating your own!

Outside of music-making, I am the mother to three grown children, and I have two cats, Gus and Freddie. All of my cats have been named after composers. Can you guess which composers these two are named for?
