In this unit, we’ll work on the skills of good writing by studying examples and getting lots of practice. We’ll look at grammar as well as organization.

 

For this unit, I would recommend that you keep up with current affairs.  Here are a few newspaper links that you might want to check out, although you are welcome to find news wherever you’d like to.  In particular, make a habit of reading “Opinion” pieces.  These are the type of writing that you will be reading and creating in this unit.
